A time to walk with Jesus

·

This week before Holy Week we are invited to walk with Jesus, a Jesus condemned and hunted down but intensely in love with the Father. The last words of Pope Emeritus Benedict, “Jesus, I love you”.

In our preparing for Holy Week, it is helpful to be aware of our love for Jesus and then in moments throughout the day and night, to tell him so.

We can detach ourselves from the experience of Holy Week and actually not be engaged with these days of Jesus’s suffering, death and resurrection.

Jesus in our gospel is sharing from his heart and we in turn can respond from our heart.

Numbers 21:4-9; Ps 102: 2-3, 16-21; John 8:21-30
